About Kat Duvic | Thai Yoga Bodywork in Minneapolis
Meet Kat Duvic
Hi, I’m Kat Duvic, a certified Thai Yoga Bodywork practitioner based in Southwest Minneapolis. My work centers on helping people feel more at ease in their bodies through slow, intentional, and therapeutic bodywork.
I’m drawn to practices that support both physical relief and a deeper sense of presence. Clients often come to me feeling tense, overwhelmed, or disconnected, and sessions are designed to create space for the body to soften, breathe, and reset.
My approach is grounded, attentive, and responsive, meeting each person where they are and honoring how their body presents on any given day.
Thai Yoga Bodywork Approach
Thai Yoga Bodywork is a traditional form of bodywork that combines assisted stretching, acupressure, and mindful movement. Sometimes referred to as Thai massage, it is more interactive and movement-based than table massage alone.
Sessions are offered fully clothed and may include:
Assisted stretching to support mobility and joint health
Gentle to firm acupressure along Thai sen lines
Rhythmic compression and passive movement
A slow, steady pace that supports nervous system regulation
Each Thai Yoga Bodywork session is customized, supporting both physical ease and mental clarity. The work is especially helpful for people experiencing chronic stress, muscular tension, limited range of motion, or a general sense of disconnection from their bodies.
Training & Professional Background
My Thai Yoga Bodywork practice is rooted in a deep understanding of movement, anatomy, and the mind-body connection. I draw from traditional Thai bodywork principles while thoughtfully adapting each session to support the person on the mat that day.
I am certified in Thai Yoga Bodywork, with training in therapeutic assisted stretching, acupressure, and rhythmic compression. These techniques work together to support mobility, circulation, nervous system regulation, and a genuine sense of ease in the body.
Alongside my Thai Yoga Bodywork training, I hold advanced certifications as a yoga teacher (E-RYT 200, RYT 500). This background informs how I work with a wide range of bodies, offering sessions that feel supportive, safe, and responsive.
I am also trained in wellness coaching, which shapes how I listen and communicate with clients. While sessions are fully bodywork-focused, this training supports a collaborative, client-centered approach and allows space for thoughtful conversation when questions arise around movement, stress, or daily rhythms.
I continue ongoing study in anatomy, somatic practices, and therapeutic movement, staying curious and committed to offering grounded, attentive care.
